Sam was ex-cop who got kicked out capital police force. Sam didn’t have any other choice than move back his home city. Even there he couldn’t find place that would hire him. So he started to work as Private Investigator in quiet seaside tourist city.
On a stormy April evening Sam is walking at the pier with his sister Quinn. He ends up saving woman from the sea. Thinking that was that. Sam thought afterwards that he would never see her again. He didn’t think more about it. Until…
But was it because of fate or just coincidence that was they would be meeting again.
Couple of weeks later he meets Laura again by accident. They agreed to meet again to talk about the evening when Sam saved Laura from the sea. When they meet Sam hears that Laura doesn’t remember anything from the evening he saved her from the sea. To hear that it sounds not only strange but dangerous to him. Laura didn’t ask Sam to look into it. Those events of that evening just don’t leave Sam alone.
Sam is no longer a police, but he will need every skill he has to get know what really happened to Laura that evening. Before, it is too late…
Laura used to be president of her family’s Shipping Industry Company. Year ago her health failed. Her doctors still don’t know what is wrong with her. Now her husband Jake who also works at Laura’s family company is now covering her at the work. Laura’s best friend Juliet had to move with them last summer to take care of Laura. When Jake is work and can’t be home taking care of Laura. So there is someone home to taking care of Laura.
But Laura had almost died two weeks ago. Then she meets again man who saved her from the sea. That night is still a mystery to her. And because of Sam Laura’s life will never be same again. Laura’s way to follow her heart hasn’t failed her yet. As far as she knows it hasn’t.
But there is darkness lurking that no one can stop.
Laura will find herself in difficult situations with her new friendship with Sam and her old life will clash. When, Laura’s health is also causing more issues to her. Laura doesn’t know what to do. Everyone just continues to blaming everything on her new medication.
As Sam is busy trying to find explanation what happened to Laura that evening. Was it just accident like everyone was saying? Or did something more sinister happen that evening? Sam was trying to find the truth. He had to also talk with his sister Quinn since she was there that evening when Sam rescued Laura from the sea. Did she see something?
There was real danger after Laura. Why would someone choose Laura as their target? Sam was trying to his best find the answer to that. It wasn’t as easy as Sam had thought. Laura’s sake he needed to get bottom of it. He wasn’t going to let something bad happen to Laura.
There were another danger that is endangering Sam and Laura… feelings. Can they keep their relationship purely as friends? Or is there danger of forbidden feelings emerges as Laura and Sam are spending more time together?
Can Sam save Laura before it is too late? Is there real danger that is lurking after Laura? Or was it all just accident? Is Sam’s focused on Laura just professional or is it something else? Sam spends his days chasing cheaters. He hates unfaithful people. Laura is married. Sam could never go after married woman. Can Sam keep on his principals or does heart want what heart wants?
Can Laura not fall for her hero? He rescued her from sea. Now he is trying to find truth that evening. What woman could resist handsome real life hero? But Laura was already married. She loved her husband. To feel something more than friendship towards Sam would be betraying her wedding vows to her husband. Could Laura survive more than just not falling in love with her new handsome hero? Was her marriage going to be in danger as well and not just Laura’s life?
Love isn’t always what it seems.
